Let "Fresh Know" (from 11/24/23 Newsletter)
- This blog has been created for your suggestions or comments to Fresh Candidates - Please Read: "The beauty of Tolomato Island extends beyond the live oaks, the moss, the pond, and its many styles of homes to the people. The people of Tolomato are smart and caring and unusually successful. Leaders would be wise not to dismiss their feelings or suggestions. It is important that we too seek ALL the people's input.
- We have over the past few weeks, discussed the issues leading up to this election. They have been presented truthfully, and without a heavy hand. Owners may agree or disagree with our findings. It is your turn. Our Fresh Candidates want to know.
What changes would you make, that would make Tolomato Island a better place to live? We want your input."

I suggest speed bumps installed throughout the neighborhood would be a good idea for safety reasons. Obviously, this would involve some coordination with the County on a portion of them. The existing speed limit signs seem to be a mere decorative suggestion. A safety investment may be cheaper than a million dollar lawsuit when someone gets injured or killed, which is a possibility from what I’ve seen in the neighborhood!

We regret that Vickie Love’s account has been suspended by the System Administrator at the request of the Editorial Panel. After warnings regarding tone and misinformation, Mrs. Love posted a comment to this blog that contains misinformation and false allegations, that were structured in a manner that would alarm people. No Fresh Candidate, nor to our knowledge has any candidate, compiled such a laundry list of big spending issues. No Fresh candidate has implied or suggested the association’s check book will be raided, for the many capital items she listed including “a sprawling Community Center”.
The rules of this web site require civility and that information provided be truthful. Suspension is serious. It removes all posts from that account.

It is entirely reasonable to investigate installing speed humps on Mission Drive. If the county really doesn't care about Mission Drive, why would they care if a few speed humps magically showed up? They wouldn't. This is another situation that, in all reality, is up to the Association.
