To Amplify a well stated case...a response to Nov. 6 Newsletter
Reflection would be a function of a desire to best serve and represent the interests of the community. If, however, decisions are driven more by personal agenda, then no reflection is necessary...I fear none will be forthcoming. The sad reality of the past Boards of 5 or 6 years is that owners or anyone with a simple difference of opinion are denigrated and cast as the "Divisive Enemy".
With this Board, the covenants are selectively applied. They are amplified when they support their agenda and ignored when they don't.
The five candidates that I am supporting, Lynn Brenton, Heather Rowe, Steve Anderson, John Bagwell and George Bigham represent a breath of fresh air and their motivations are genuinely for the best interests of the community.
Given Mr. Jeff Long's extensive history of vitriolic rhetoric, his current positions and insults hurled at Tolomato owners is stunning!
Let's bridge the divide and bring on a Board with a fresh perspective and openness to owners input and ideas, transparent communications and a more truly inclusive process.

A few harmless images which you don't like don't change the rhetoric and actions of the board we are seeking to replace. Have you forgotten about the May 27, 2022 letter sent by the board to every member of this community--by mail at considerable expense? How would you like to be singled out by the board and discredited among your neighbors by such a letter simply because you do not agree with the board? In my opinion that was a bridge too far. That letter was ill-advised, inappropriate and should never have been written--let alone sent to every member of this community. I want to make sure this never happens again to you or anybody else. That's why I urge everyone to vote for a new board. One that does not include any persons affiliated with the May 27, 2022 letter.

"I applaud their “Board Candidates Who Care” statement of philosophy and purpose."
Given that no one I know has received the statement, most of us have no idea what the statement of philosophy and purpose is. Do you care to share or is it a secret?

You just don’t get it. Let me spell it out for you. When members of the board act in their official capacity they are representing “all” members of the community. As such, they do not have a right to characterize the actions of individual members or a group of members of the community they were elected to serve. To add insult to injury, they used members’ dues to pay for this. If the Board truly believed that harm was being done to the community, they should have taken legal action. I stand by my original comment, reproduced in part below.

I hope the Board continues the tradition of hiring an armed sheriff to attend the meeting. You know like the kid that nearly fell asleep until he heard some raised voices. At this point the kid stood up and moved his hand in the direction of his side arm.
That is what I call chilling.

Vickie you are 100% correct. Behavior has consequences. That letter never should have been written--no back story or excuses. You can't defend the indefensible. There is NO PLACE for such behavior and it is even more offensive when it comes for officials elected to represent the TIPOA membership. This board should have been removed from office for intimidating and defaming the member in question.
This type of behavior on the part of the board is part of the reason this site was formed (see statement below) and this is why there are a group of members willing to serve in the place of the current board. This is why we have a growing group of members enthusiastically supporting the SIP endorsed candidates. We are rebelling against a dictatorship that punishes anyone who disagrees with them.
